Other than some residue on the exhaust and reinforcement members (which I cleaned) from the last transmission service, everything looks healthy and clean. Guibos, bushings, hoses, etc. are all in excellent shape. Great example of a well-maintained, well cared for California car. Glad I found it. I also wanted to make sure what differential I had installed, particularly if the previous owner had swapped it out for a Quaife unit, for example. I wasn't that lucky. I'll just have to settle for the clean car.

Belt and pulleys are ok, tensioner pulley being the most grease-packed of the bunch, with the top left 2 pullies the ones that will be the closest to service. However as it stands I think I have 15-20k before it will all need replacement. I'll set for replacement at 70k or 75k miles. Also replaced broken passenger lower paneling hook from previous owner.

Upon inspection of old units looks like the bag was intact and appears to be a failure at the fitting. I don’t feel bad about replacing them however because the new units are much smoother, probably because of the softer rubber from a new bag.
